Server Manager

Dynamsoft SourceAnywhere Server Manager is a GUI tool used to manage the 'SourceAnywhere' database which is automatically created on SQL Server during the installation of Dynamsoft SourceAnywhere Server. With Dynamsoft SourceAnywhere Server Manager, you may find it easy to remotely manage the users, groups, access rights and other configurations of the repositories.

To start the Server Manager, launch it from Dynamsoft SourceAnywhere program group in Windows Start Menu. It's recommended that only the administrators could access the Server Manager program.

The Server Manager section allows you to manage the database with the following 8 items:

Note: To get the latest information on the server, simply click Refresh on the Tools menu or click Refresh button on the Toolbar. Besides, if there is any configuration change made in the Server Manager, users on the client side need to re-connect to server or re-login the repository to apply the changes.

If the port of Dynamsoft SourceAnywhere Server or Cache Server is a secure (Blowfish or SSL) port, you need to import the Blowfish User Key through the Tools menu or generate the SSL Root Certificate in Service Configutator first.

Generating SSL Root Certificate

The SSL root certificate is included in a CRT file which is generated in the SSL Root CA section of the Service Configurator or Cache Server Manager.

The SSL root certificate will be automatically downloaded and imported by the Client (or another Cache Server) upon successful connection.

Importing Blowfish User Key

The Blowfish user key is included in a SEK file which is generated in the Blowfish User Keys section of the Server Manager or Cache Server Manager.

To initialize the Server Manager with the Blowfish user key, start the Server Manager program and select the Import Blowfish User Key command on the Tools menu. Then enter the location and name of the SEK file obtained from Dynamsoft SourceAnywhere Server Manager or Cache Server Manager.
