Import Limitation

Due to the limitations of VSS Automation Component API, the import tool may not be able to accurately import all history information and current state of your VSS database under some circumstances. For example, a file has a history of 100 versions in VSS database, and it loses history of 10 versions after the import. The possible causes are:

• The import tool does not import history for several events, including Rename, Move, Rollback, Recover, Purge, Share, Branch. Only history for Create, Check In, Label and Pin will be imported.
   
• There are version numbering differences between VSS and Dynamsoft SourceAnywhere. Several events that increase version number in VSS do not increment version number in Dynamsoft SourceAnywhere, such as Label and Branch.

But no worries. The import tool is designed to give priority to the most useful information.
