Dynamsoft SourceAnywhere Standalone retrieves the files from the server only if the local copies of the files are not up-to-date.
The way how Dynamsoft SourceAnywhere detects the local copy of a file is identical with the server file is determined by the "Compare files by" option in the following dialog box:
